Because what good does “student self-management” do when there's nobody there to manage and improve the students' situations?! Because we still take part in deciding the majors' contents! Because I want to spur on projects that are important to me, and to change and improve my university. Because I want to be able to use and expand the student learning space of the maths/physics faculty! Because our forum and our café should become even more enjoyable! Because I don't want student life to pine away and I'd like to organize more parties and game nights! Because my CV gets a plus that way. Because where else can I show teamwork, communication skills, and engagement like this? Because I want to learn about democratic processes. The best opportunity for that are the once-per-semester federal student council meetings! Because I want to find contacts in the maths and physics institute that are going to help me during my study! Because I want to learn about the organizing of parties, excursions, and events as well as about time management. Because I can't take the FSR posts and posters not being designed properly anymore! I'm gonna do it myself then! Because I want to support first-semesters in their start into Uni Since somebody did that for me too and you gotta give back! AND who if not YOU could and should do something to advance this community!? How can I participate? Just come to one of our meetings or write us an email! That way we can tell you exactly how you can help your student council! You can find out contacts here! Elections for the FSR are always during the wintertime. You'll most likely be able to nominate yourself in December! Feel free to write to us, if you're interested in the work of the FSR! During the semester you can get yourself associated with the FSr. That's possible outside of elections too! There are other ways to engage too! There are always more people needed to represent the student body in different committees. You can happily to a committee meeting if you're interested in that! Last modified: 3 years agoby Sophia Dahm
